Zion Williamson again appeared charming in the NBA preseason. The number one choice rookie helped the New Orleans Pelicans win 128-127 over the Utah Jazz on Saturday (12/10/2019).
He scored 26 points and six rebounds to help Pelicans win a half-ball victory over Jazz at Smoothie King Center. Only three shots from Zion Williamson missed the mark in this match.
Pelicans almost lost this match. Javon Bess became the decider of victory through a final layup. The referee assessed Jarrell Brantley as goaltending while trying to block Bess’s action.
Reserve player and rookie Pelicans Nickeil Alexander-Walker also performed neatly by making 22 points.
Zion Williamson looks stunning in this fight. He made five of Pelicans’ first seven points. Zion Williamson also managed his first three-point shot in the NBA pre-season.
In this match, Zion Williamson was also involved in a fierce battle with Rudy Gobert’s Jazz center. In the third quarter, Zion Williamson won the duel with Gobert.
Zion Williamson’s initial shot missed, but the ball was rebounded back by the Duke alumni and finished with a two-handed dunk.
