“WWE Strapped a Rocket to My Ass and Pushed Me to the Moon,” Stone Cold Steve Austin Shares His Journey of Becoming a Pro Wrestler

Austin was one of WWE’s biggest stars in the 90s, which is also a part of the ‘Attitude Era.’ He is famously known for his Austin 3:16 tagline.

However, Austin shared his early WWE journey on social media. He described how he dreamed of being a Professional Wrestler. The hard work and the talented mentors led his dream to come true. “I dreamed of being a Professional Wrestler. The dream came true. And it was a ride like I could have never imagined,” The Texas Rattlesnake wrote. “Thanks to all the bad ass talent I got to work with.”

Steve Austin thanked his fans and WWE

However, Austin also agreed that, it would not have been possible without fans support. “Thanks to the coolest fans in the world,” he wrote. He also got incredible support from WWE and the network was always there during his bad times. Stone Cold described, “WWE strapped a rocket to my ass and pushed me to the moon. As much as I bitched about creative sometimes, they came up with some great shit for me damn near every Monday night on Raw.”

Starting on Monday, WWE kicks off “Stone Cold” Steve Austin Week to celebrate the 25-year anniversary of Austin’s debut in WWE. Though out the week the Network will feature “Stone Cold”-themed programming including his interview with Randy Orton, new documentaries, and more.

Further, author Michael McAvennie published a new book on Steve Austin to remark his debut. The book named ‘Austin 3:16: 316 Facts and Stories about Stone Cold Steve Austin’ features the Austin’s journey to become a pro wrestler.

The WWE Superstar was having fantastic career until he face multiple knee injuries in 2013, which forced him to retire from in-ring competition.
