Chris Jericho recounts the near miss that he had with an assassin in Abu Dhabi in 2012. Jericho talks about how with the death threats surrounding his life he lives in fear of what next.
Chris Jericho went to the capital city for the first ever WWE live broadcast ever in UAE. Jericho wrestled at the event by teaming up with Miz against CM Punk and R-Truth.
Though, the event became a huge success, Y2J could not display his happiness as much as the other wrestlers could. The reason for Chris’s lack of joy was due to an assassin. The same assassin who came after his head in Abu Dhabi while the event took place.
Fortunately for him fellow grappler Jack Swagger showed up in the nick of time and saved Chris Jericho from the assassins fatal shot. In an interview with MJF on 29th April 2021, Jericho said, “I received a lot of death threats. But I never felt that I should take them seriously.”

“But in Abu Dhabi an assassin tried to make an attempt for my life and Jack Hager saved me” said Chris Jericho. Unfortunately, his teammate Miz could not save him from a loss against Punk and Truth as they pinned Y2J for the win in Abu Dhabi.

Since then Jericho has not faced many threats. Unless the threat made by Impact Wrestling’s Sami Callihan could be seen as one. The grappler issued a threat to Y2J with the intention to commit the act of breaking and entering into Jericho’s humble abode.
