A new fight has been added to March 21’s FastLane 2021 event. In reference to their previous clash, Big E has challenged Apollo for a battle at FastLane, and he gladly accepted the contest.
At WWE FastLane, it might seem that Intercontinental Champion Big E is putting his title on the line again. In Friday’s SmackDown, Apollo Crews attacked the champion Big E and wounded him. On January 22, the rivals fought for the Intercontinental Championship Title. However, Big E defended the title despite being beaten up brutally. The fight ended through a double pin. Instead, it got a chance to restart. However, they also met two weeks ago, but outside the ring. Crews aligned with Roman Reign and cheated to defeat Zami Zayn in last weeks fight. After that, Apollo confronted Big E at the ringside.

Big E challenged Apollo
On Friday, March 12, Big E entered SmackDown after he missed the past two weeks due to a Brachial Plexus injury caused by Apollo. On February 19, the Intercontinental was hurt after Uhaa Nation tossed a set of steel steps on him while he was outside of the ring. The attack was so barbaric that the 35-year-old was taken out on a stretcher.
However, the attack sent him out of the ring, but last night the Big E seemed fit when he challenged the 33-year-old.
Before that, on March 5, Crews demanded a rematch against Big E.
The fit Big E came to the ring angry this evening and called out Apollo Crews and said he is ready for the rematch tonight. On the other hand, Crews did not emerge. However, Crews was backstage and talked to an interviewer. He said, “I don’t come when Big E calls my name, I don’t come when anybody calls my name, I am a descendant of Nigerian Royalty.”
Though he did not come to the stage, he accepted the challenge. “I gladly accept your challenge for the Intercontinental Title at FastLane,” the Nigerian said.
