WWE Superstar Andrade Oropeza has reportedly asked for a release from WWE. However, nothing is official yet, and WWE has no comment on it. The rumor suggests that WWE denied the release request.
Wrestling Inc first reported that Oropeza asked for his release. The Hispanic wrestler has not been on any WWE show for over five months. The last time he appeared was in October against Angel Garza. Despite his listing on RAW, WWE did not draft him for any events.

The 31-year-old signed with the WWE back in 2015, and in the next couple of years, he reached the main event level status in NXT. Further, he partnered with Zelina Vega and won the NXT Championship in 2017. The NXT title landed him on the main WWE roster in 2018 and there, he won the U.S. title the following year. Before disappearing off the shows, Andrade Oropeza regularly teamed with Garza.
Now that he wants a release from WWE, social media is chattering about his future. However, he gave a hint on Twitter about his release note. It was reported that “Andrade has dropped the “WWE” from his Twitter handle.”
His new Twitter user name is @AndradeElIdolo instead of @AndradeCienWWE. He also changed his bio, which now shows ‘wrestler’ instead of ‘WWE Superstar.’ However, he did not change the Instagram bio yet.

The possible reason for Oropeza’s release request
When Andrade Oropeza joined WWE, Paul Heyman was in-charge of Monday Night RAW. For the last five years, Heyman supported the Hispanic superstar. However, Heyman was removed from the executive director’s position in October 2020. Rumor suggests that “Paul Heyman’s removal from the Executive Director’s spot was probably the beginning of the end for Andrade’s WWE run.”
