D-Von Dudley, the other half of the famous tag team Dudley boyz, has put the WWE universe in extreme dismay. He has finally admitted to suffering a stroke a few weeks back. While undergoing several health issues earlier, he made this revelation during a recent podcast appearance for a famous magazine.
The majority of his fans were already concerned about his deteriorating health, and this admittance has come as a ‘Big Shock’ to most of them. D-Von Dudley did not mention a ‘stroke’ in his earlier interviews. However, he spilled the beans during a live podcast.
Excerpts from the Live podcast
D-Von said, “I’m doing alright. I’m getting stronger and stronger each day. I was denying it and wasn’t saying anything before, but I’ll let it out now. I had a stroke and now I’m doing so much better. I’m back to my normal self almost.”
During the live podcast, D-Von also welcomed former WWE star Matt Hardy to the show. He further talked about naming one of his sons after Matt Hardy:
“When we found out we were having a boy, I went to Matt and said, ‘I hope you don’t think this is creepy but I want to let you know I’m going to name my son Matthew after you.’ We went through hell man. We went through so many battles but yet we became friends after all the battles and the TLC matches and I felt that close to Matt and I wanted to name my son Matthew.”
Well, D-Von isn’t the first WWE star that has suffered a stroke or a heart-related issue. If we look down at the records, more than 50 stars have fallen prey to either heart disease or a random health complication.
While many of these deaths were connected to Drug abuse, others were related to random heart health complications.

Andre ‘the giant’
Many called him ‘A Man from another world’ due to his gigantic size and frame. Still, with a weight of over 500 pounds and a height of 7 ‘4’, Andre the giant ruled the WWE Arena for quite some time.
Unfortunately, he suffered congestive heart failure during sleep in a hotel room. Doctors claimed that his pre-birth condition named Acromegaly made the matter worse. Due to this condition, his body organs got impacted by an excessive growth hormone since birth.
The American wrestler’s story is quite a tragic one. We can certainly call him the youngest WWE star to succumb to a heart stroke. None believed that a person at the peak of his fitness could suffer heart failure.
Conversely, Eddie was discovered lying unconscious in his bathroom, speculations were made regarding a potential drug overdose. Even till his last day, he was cherished and celebrated by a comprehensive list of WWE fans from every corner of the world.
