“Whoever Came up With That Shit Needs to Be Fired” Lebron James Disses the Idea of New Play-IN Tournament

Lebron James, considered by many as one of the greatest basketball player ever, is seen to be quite vocal on opinions garnering highlight. Recently, the Lakers star was seen lashing out at NBA for the play-in policy.

As the season is about to end, the NBA play-in tournament was re-introduced after being unanimously approved by the league’s board of governors. This sometimes didn’t go well with the four time MVP as he lashed out on them.

In the past, we have often seen LeBron losing his cool over certain matters but this time it was different. He dissed them saying, “Whoever came up with that s**t needs to be fired”. This statement might have drawn criticisms from several other greats of the game but LeBron gave fans another display of his boldness to which they would have been accustomed by now.

This was just the second game back for LeBron after he had missed over a month with a high ankle sprain. He scored 19 points in 28 minutes as the Lakers lost to Raptors 114-121.

LeBron isn’t the only star who has actually questioned the policy. Mavericks star Luka Doncic also expressed disappointment on the policy earlier saying “You play 72 games to get in the playoffs, then you lose two and you’re out of the playoffs. I don’t see the point of that.”
