Who Said Honda Made a Motorcycle Only for Marquez?

Marc Marquez’s success in MotoGP led to rumors of Honda creating motorcycles only for him. The boss of the Repsol Honda team, Alberto Puig, denied this.

Marquez has just grabbed his sixth MotoGP title with Honda this year. In total, the 26-year rider has collected 8 world titles, including two titles in the 125cc and Moto2 classes.

Marquez’s dominance in MotoGP led to rumors that Honda was only building motorcycles for him. There is an assumption RC213V was created only for The Alien Baby.

It was denied by Puig. He considered the Honda RC213V was easy to drive so anyone could win.

“The things that are said about Marc and our motorbikes are not facts, only opinions. Honda is the easiest motor to drive,” Puig said, as reported by Tuttomotoriweb.

“On what grounds? Simple, in the last 18 years, we have won the title 10 times with 4 different drivers: Valentino Rossi, Nicky Hayden, Casey Stoner, and Marquez,” he said.

Marquez himself had commented on his ride. Despite being able to triumph in MotoGP, the Cervera rider also asked for a faster motorbike, rather than being easily mastered.
