Vinales Can Only Hope His Motorcycle Faster Next Season

Maverick Vinales who joined Yamaha in 2017 hopes his team can make changes to welcome the 2020 racing season. He urges Yamaha to make motorcycles that are not only fast in the qualifying session but can also be more competitive during racing.

“We have two months, I know very well what needs to be improved on myself and what I need to improve on motorcycles, at least taking part in fighting for the world title. We are working very hard to make it happen,” Vinales said, quoted by Fox Sports.

The Spaniard, who is ranked third in the final of the 2019 MotoGP season, does indeed have a slick record when appearing in the qualifying session. However, the racer nicknamed ‘King of Qualification’ was unable to say much during the race.

“We do have a good speed every trial, but I prefer to be ‘king’ in another session. We also have a different mentality in testing, now we take care of various areas, I undergo a few laps, but always insist on each lap. This is the most important and the biggest change, “he continued.

“I want to change my racing style a little to make it smoother, maybe it will help the motorbike become faster,” concluded Vinales.
