Victor Lindelof praises his duet partner in the heart of Manchester United’s defense, Harry Maguire. According to him, Maguire is a great player.
Maguire joined the Red Devils in the summer transfer market. However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team had to dig deep into their pockets to bring Maguire.
The England defender was bailed out of Leicester City at a cost of 80 million pounds. As a result, Maguire immediately holds the status of the most expensive new defender.
Maguire’s presence was also able to make a big impact at Old Trafford. He immediately became Solskjaer’s first choice to fill his defense.
Lindelof certainly feels very happy playing with Maguire in the heart of the Red Devils defense. According to Lindelof, the two of them are now more compact.
“It feels good, Harry is a great player. We only play six matches together so couples need matches to get better and better. We work hard and train every day together, we get to know each other, the more we know and that is a good thing in a partner. We hope we can together make things better, “he continued.
“He is also a great person off the pitch. It is very easy to be near him and talk to him. He shows that too on the field, he has led and makes it easy for everyone to lead from his example. That’s also what I try to do on the field.”
Mason Greenwood is likely to start when United face Arsenal at Old Trafford. The 17-year-old is the only striker available after Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial suffered injuries.
Lindelof has seen Greenwood progress over the past few years. He believes the young man has a bright future if he can improve his game.
“I’ve been here for three seasons, so I’ve seen it before, I know his talent,” he said.
“This season he has improved himself a bit and he has shown his quality, especially as a finisher. Left or right foot, I’m not even sure.
“He’s a great player and a humble kid off the pitch too. If he can continue to do what he does, work hard, then he has a very bright future.”
