Valentino Rossi will face the closest race at the Aragon Circuit this weekend. However, the circuit was not a cool place for him.
According to Rossi, racing at the Motorland Aragon Circuit will be a true test of the development of Yamaha motorcycles lately. Especially last year, Rossi finished eighth, 15 seconds adrift of Marc Marquez who won. Rossi’s record in Aragon:
2010 | Position 6 |
2011 | 7th position |
2012 | Position 8 |
2013 | Position 3 |
2014 | – |
2015 | Position 3 |
2016 | Position 3 |
2017 | 5th position |
2018 | Position 8 |
“This track, especially for me and also for Yamaha last season, was one of the most difficult tracks. We had a lot of difficulties last year here,” Rossi was quoted as saying by Crash.net.
“So it is very interesting to understand whether we are also more competitive than last year?” added the driver nicknamed The Doctor.
Rossi’s performance was actually not satisfactory. His last podium in MotoGP was April 14, 2019. For the victory, Rossi has never won it since he won the Dutch MotoGP on June 25, 2017.
