Valentino Rossi had a great chance of finishing on the podium at the Malaysian MotoGP. Although ultimately failed, The Doctor remains satisfied with the achievements.

Rossi was involved in a fierce duel with Andrea Dovizioso to fight over the last podium of the Malaysian MotoGP on Sunday (11/03/2019) yesterday. The Doctor, who throughout the season often complained about the condition of his motorcycle, appeared solid and managed to overtake his fellow countryman several times.

But Yamaha riding Rossi lost power in a straight track. This was used by Dovi to finally lock position three with a time difference of only 0.354 seconds.

Despite failing to get on the podium, Rossi recorded the fastest lap in this series. He also carved a new race lap record at Sepang. That he noted on the third lap, of 20 total rounds.

“I am happy because after all, it was a good race for us. Especially considering your speed and the results we achieved in the previous race. I want to try to reach the podium because of course on the podium will present a different story. But it’s a pity I can’t beat Dovi “Rossi said quoted from Crash.

“But the race went well. I recorded the fastest lap, and also a new lap record. I feel good with the bike, I drive well. I lost a lot of time at the start of the race,” continued the 40-year rider.

Fastest lap in the Malaysian MotoGP is the first Rossi gained in the past three years. The last time he recorded the fastest lap was at the French MotoGP in 2016.
