The future of Valentino Rossi with the Yamaha Monster manufacturer team began to be discussed again. Moreover, the Italian racer was again talking about the opportunity to move.
As we know, at a young age, Valentino Rossi has difficulty adapting to Yamaha motorcycles in the manufacturer’s team. Together with Maverick Vinales, Rossi is more often hobbled to finish the race rather than win it.
Last season when the Yamaha satellite team teamed up with Fabio Quartararo under the Yamaha SRT Petronas banner, the team proved themselves to be ‘not number two’ anymore. The proof is Quartararto managed to reach the second podium five times in the race.
‘I don’t see a striking difference in Petronas (Yamaha SRT). But we are racers for two places (manufacturers and satellites) so you have to think about options like that,’ Rossi told Gazzetta Dello Sport.
However, according to the Motorsport report, Rossi has a feature on the Yamaha racing team. In the report, it was stated that Rossi would always get a place as long as he wanted it at Yamaha.
So, Rossi’s move to the satellite team, or the decision to remain in the manufacturer’s team, most likely indeed is in the hands of the racer nicknamed The Doctor.
