
Valentino Rossi begins to fear the threat of Quartararo
Petronas Yamaha rider Fabio Quartararo won the fourth pole of the season after coming out as the fastest racer in the 2019 Thailand MotoGP qualifying session. Valentino Rossi did not expect that.
Shown in the qualifying session at the Buriram Circuit, Thailand, Saturday (05/10/2019) when Indonesia, Quartararo recorded the fastest time in the qualifying session beating Marc Marquez and Maverick Vinales.
“Quartararo has been very impressive this season, he has shown fantastic performances since the age of 15. He did something special, but honestly I did not expect it like this,” Rossi was quoted as saying by Crash.net.
The 20-year-old rider was later given an extra after being rationed 500rpm lower than his teammate engine manufacturer; Franco Morbidelli, Valentino Rossi and Maverick Vinales.
“It’s a shame because we have the potential to do better with the motorbike. But Quartararo took a big step,” the racer nicknamed The Doctor.
Thanks to pole, Quartararo will start the race at the 2019 Thai MotoGP from pole position. The race will take place on Sunday (6/10/2019) afternoon Indonesian time.
