Urijah Faber interested in facing TJ Dillashaw: "We'll see what happens"

With Urijah Faber was not interested in confronting TJ Dillashaw at first, it seems that the current circumstances changed his decision.

Faber had a successful comeback after leaving retirement and knocking out Ricky Simon at the UFC Sacramento co-star. Now he could be close to facing Henry Cejudo in the future.

A fight that could attract attention is with Dillashaw. Both have not seen each other since Dillashaw left Team Alpha Male to train in Colorado. Now with Urijah back, he is interested in that fight, especially with the money that could be involved :

“The only reason that interests me is that I think there is probably some money involved in that fight,” Faber said in a question and answer session before UFC Vancouver. “For a long time I didn’t want to deal with the drama of that matter and it didn’t seem attractive to me.”

“I was close to his family, especially at the beginning of this. I don’t really feel that I know the guy, or I know him, a fight with him would be good. ”

The former WEC champion will have to wait until 2021 since Dillashaw is suspended after testing positive for EPO.

Faber is not surprised that the former champion has tested positive for drugs that improve performance and believes this will level off when he returns.

“As for waiting, I’m really not the type to wait for anything, but we’ll see what happens,” Faber added. “He is out of the PEDS when I return and I will be 42 years old, so that should solve things.”
