What started as an exchange of messages on social networks, could become a reality. After Jon Jones and Francis Ngannou agreed to face-off, UFC President Dana White did not rule out the possibility.
At the press conference after UFC Jacksonville, he spoke about the possibility of completing the dream match.
“Everything is possible. I mean, I don’t know if they really want to face each other, do you understand me? But let me talk, I don’t know which is the case for both of you, you can see many conversations on social networks, but making fights is a totally different game,” White explained.
This week Jones shocked the MMA world by stating on Twitter that he would be willing to take on Francis Ngannou, one of the most feared in the heavyweight division.
Jones spoke that for the right money, he would agree to move up a division to face Ngannou, who knocked out Jairzinho Rozenstruik at UFC 249.
Knowledge of the interest of the heavyweight champion of UFC, Francis wasted no time to respond and was open to facing him.
It is not today that “Bones” will express its interest in moving up in the division to prove itself in the full weights of the organization. Last year, he expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of major challenges in his division.
