Despite the hostile start, Tyron Woodley lost on a first-round submission at UFC 260 Co-main card against Vicente Luque. With that defeat, the former UFC Welterweight Champion experienced his four-losing streak. He lost the match
Woodley is having a bad time as he has seen his last win in 2018 at the UFC 228. He entered the octagon last night with the hope to avoid a fourth consecutive loss. The fans, along with the ESPN analyst Stephen A Smith felt pity for the former champ.
Smith was hopeful about T-Wood and shared his feelings on Twitter. “Damn! @TWooodley came out aggressive, but got caught with the choke. Couldn’t get out of it. Luque got him. That’s now four-straight major losses in a row for Woodley. Damn! Wish that didn’t happen,” Smith tweeted.

Vicente Luque stopped aggressive Tyron Woodley
As soon as the bout started, Woodley truly threw a huge haymaker, but he missed it. Later, he pushed Luque up against the cage, and the Silent Assassin quickly reversed T-Wood. The fighters eventually came back to the center, and Woodley worked on punching the opponent.
However, Luque moved forward and wrapped Tyron up while landing some short shots. T-Wood also fired back some big shots. They fought like that for a couple of minutes.

Then, the 29-year-old connected some big shots, and Woodley was wobbled. Next, Tyron Woodley almost went down as Luque continued the big shots. Woodley was wounded, and his momentum rolled him to the ground.
Seemingly Tyron became weak, and Luque carefully angled for a d’arce choke. Further, Woodley had no choice but to tap to finish the fight, which lasted 3:56 minutes.
Meanwhile, Vicente Luque had entered tonight’s fight with a two-fight winning streak and made it to three. The Silent Assassin was ranked at ten, and the victory over Woodley will definitely level up his ranking.
