Tony Ferguson urges Khabib Nurmagomedov to ‘sign on the dotted line’ and fulfill his late father’s wish

The former champ never doubted his talents

Former Interim UFC Lightweight Champion Tony Ferguson expects the undefeated Khabib Nurmagomedov to return to the octagon in the future to battle with Ferguson.

The MMA world waited long to see Ferguson vs Nurmagomedov bout cancelled in early 2015. However, they got scheduled to run the bout four more times, but cancelled every time for different reasons.

Now that the Eagle retired, the bout will not see a ray of hope, and the fans will never get to experience the most anticipated combat of UFC history. But, the El Cucuy thinks Khabib is bluffing his retirement, and he will return to the octagon.

Ferguson predicts that Khabib will return to accomplish his father’s wish. “I’m getting closer to Khabib and that’s the only fight that his pops wanted for him and that’s the only fight that they agreed to,” Ferguson said in an interview.

Further, the 37-year-old thinks Khabib needs to practice more to fight him, and Nurmagomedov will study him before he comes back. “So like I said before on that one if he needs to be retired and get and go do peds and come back stronger,” El Cucuy conveyed.
