Tony Ferguson Putting Socks on To Earn His Battle With Beneil Dariush at UFC 262

Tony Ferguson and Beneil Dariush will fight at UFC 262 on May 15. Tony is preparing vigorously for the fight.

Surprisingly, Ferguson enters this fight on the first losing streak of his career. In his previous outings, he lost to Justin Gaethje by fifth-round TKO, and via unanimous decision to Charles Oliveira.

Prior to those losses, Ferguson had won 12 consecutive fights. These include finishes to Donald Cerrone, Anthony Pettis, Kevin Lee, and Edson Barboza, among others.

On the other hand, Dariush has six consecutive wins dating back to November 2018.  In his last fight, Dariush won against Diego Ferreira by a split decision. He also holds notable wins over Drew Dober, Rashid Magomedov, and James Vick.

Many fans predict that Tony’s time at the top is over. ‘El Cucuy’ looks to be a shadow of his former self. As a result, his hardcore supporters are worried about the fight.

Crunch Time for Tony Ferguson

It is no secret that Tony Ferguson is aging. Now 37, the fighter is rapidly approaching the end of his career. However, he will look for one last title shot before his retirement.

In order to do that, he needs to recover from his last two losses. Ferguson has joined up with legendary boxing trainer Freddie Roach and UFC legend, Georges St- Pierre. The two are capable of providing invaluable guidance to any fighter.

Ferguson is currently ranking No. 5 in the lightweight division. If he can string a few wins together, he could be in for a shot at the title. Recognized as one of the best in the division, he is more than capable of making it happen.

Although there is talk of Tony losing his edge, he is well capable of turning the tide at any given time. Fans will be praying for the best version of Tony at the Toyota Center in Houston on May 15.
