Tony Ferguson is the “Scariest” Underdog on UFC 262 Roster: Michael Chandler

The UFC Lightweight title contender Michael Chandler applauded Tony Ferguson as the scariest fighter in the lightweight division. Both Chandler and Ferguson will fight in the UFC 262, but on different cards.

Former Bellator Champion Michael Chandler will fight Charles Oliveira for the vacant UFC lightweight championship. However, the bout is less than a month away, and Chandler talked with MMA Junkie’s Mike Bond about a different aspect of the UFC 262 cards.

There will be a total of 15 fights in the UFC 262. Among all Tony Ferguson vs Beneil Dariush undercard is one of the significant fights. Chandler rooted for Ferguson while discussing this card. “If we see a better Tony Ferguson, I still think he’s one of the scariest guys on the roster from a from an unorthodox kind of unexpected scenarios,” the Iron said to Bond.

Furthermore, Chandler thinks Ferguson can confuse the opponents through his fighting skill. The 34-year-old signifies El Cucuy as an “interesting puzzle to figure out.” Referring to this, Chandler thinks Dariush is “a little bit more basic” than Tony.

However, Michael Chandler did not deny the abilities of Dariush. “Still very dangerous so, it’ll be a great matchup,” Chandler stated about Ferguson vs Dariush undercard.

Ferguson is a former UFC lightweight champion and holding 25-5 records. However, he lost his last two appearances at UFC 249 and UFC 256. So, it is evident that Ferguson will look for the win against the Iranian-born fighter who will enter the fight with a 20-4 record.
