McGregor compares himself with the Scottish knight William Wallace ahead of his trilogy with Dustin Poirier

Conor McGregor has the possibility to win the UFC title again, as his rival Khabib Nurmagomedov will not fight anymore. Comparing himself with the brave Scottish knight William Wallace, The Notorious shows his confidence for the next fight against Dustin Poirier.

Apparently, The Notorious compares himself with Sir William Wallace. Wallace was one of the chief leaders during the First War of Scottish Independence. The Notorious seems confident about gaining the lightweight title in the future. 

After the Eagle’s retirement, the Notorious seems happy and sad at the same time. The Irishman will have the opportunity to with the lightweight title by challenging the winner of UFC 262. However, Mystic Mac will definitely regret for the rest of his life his loss against Khabib.

For the past few days, the Irishman has been showing his possessiveness about the Dustin Poirier trilogy. Although the McGregor vs Poirier fight is yet to get a date, the approximate date can be July 10.

McGregor is positive about Dustin Poirier fight

After looking at McGregor’s Instagram, he appears to be relaxed. He has been posting photos from the beach, eating Shushi, which indicates his relaxation moments. Besides, the regular photos and videos from the training camp also prove his confidence level.

Former featherweight and lightweight champion posted a photo on Instagram which shows him at the beach. He captioned, “It’s what Will Wallace woulda wanted.” Seemingly he has earned a confidence level like Sir William Wallace.

In their last meeting in January 2021, Poirier knocked McGregor in the second round, which is a great shame for McGregor. Now that the Irishman lost the battle, he wanted an immediate rematch, and the hype for the upcoming fight is on the rise already.
