“Leon You’re a Coward” Belal Muhammad sends terrible good luck to Leon Edwards Following Nate Diaz Fight

Belal Muhammad celebrates his victory over Lyman Good.

Demian Maia VS Belal Muhammad is all set to take place at UFC 263 on June 12th. Belal, as we all know is coming off a no-contest loss to Leon Edwards and has been asking for a rematch with him. However, Leon has already decided to fight Nate Diaz at UFC 262.

Demian Maia, a UFC title challenger, returns to the octagon after March 23, coming off a first-round TKO loss to Gilbert Burns. This latest fight can also be considered the last for Maia as he hasn’t signed an extension with the authorities yet. As Demian has hinted at retirement before, this might very well be his last fight.

When asked about the fight between Edwards and Diaz, Belal Muhammad said, “It was obviously a big-money match, and he understands. If Nate beats Edwards, he might contend for a title match next. If Leon wins, he gets to choose his next opponent.”

Belal Muhammad expresses his thoughts on the match

On his podcast, Belal further went on to diss Nate Diaz. He said Diaz hasn’t won a fight in five years. It makes no sense for the UFC to set up a match with him as Nate Diaz is no longer a ranked player. Belal Muhammad feels he is a way better fighter than Nate. If Leon wanted to fight someone better than him then he should have gone for someone like Luke Rockhold.

It’s a golden opportunity for Leon as he will have all the spotlights on him. Leon Edwards has a great chance to make a name for himself and earn the love of fans. Belal Muhammad concluded by saying, “He knows the business and is not going to sit on a chair like an idiot.”

Belal hopes Leon Edwards does well on the business end, but when it comes to fighting in the ring, “Leon is nothing more than a coward.”
