Khabib Nurmagomedov finds his competitive vibe “only in the gym”

Khabib Nurmagomedov of Russia stands in his corner between rounds of his lightweight championship bout against Dustin Poirier during UFC 242

Khabib Nurmagomedov started hitting the gym after a few weeks of break. The Eagle has been in Vegas for the last couple of weeks to watch Vegas 22.

The 32-year-old undefeated champion has been in the news almost every day since his last fight at UFC 254. And for the last few weeks, Nurmagomedov was the talk of the topic as he had a meeting with Dana White. The circulating speculation was that he will return to the octagon, but Khabib Nurmagomedov made an end to all the rumors.

Although Khabib has retired, he has not given up training or sparring just yet. The former lightweight champion posted a photo, which shows he is at the gym with the team Khabib. “Only in the gym, competing with the best, I got amazing energy nowhere else,” he wrote in the caption.

It is not new that the Russian fighter loves gym more than anything, and he is back to his regular gym days. We know Nurmagomedov for his extreme exercise and lean body with high stamina. Seeing Khabib hitting the gym again seems like he is in his good old days.

Khabib Nurmagomedov’s retirement drama came to an end

Nurmagomedov, 32, called it a quit of his sensational MMA career in last October. He left the octagon after defeating Justin Gaethje at UFC 254 through an unblemished record of 29 wins and zero losses.

However, Khabib’s retirement announcement was a dilemma for the whole of MMA. But putting an end to all speculation, Khabib finally vacated his title last week.
