Khabib is the “Michael Jordan of MMA” remarks Daniel Cormier and Ariel Helwani

Khabib Nurmagomedov is one of those rare athletes who became legends even before they retired. Because of his humble and pious conduct, the Eagle has millions of fans around the world. With that note, Daniel Cormier and Ariel Helwani applaud the Russian with a new identity.

Although the 32-year-old has retired, the discussion on him has not finished yet. After leaving behind all the achievements, the former lightweight champion is starting a new part of his life.

However, the analyst and experts are still focusing on his eventful career and still praising him with different new names. In their recent show, Cormier and Helwani gave Nurmagomedov a new name, “Michael Jordan of MMA.”

When Michael left NBA, he had just won his third straight championship MVP and was the face of the NBA. Nurmagomedov also did the same and left during the peak in his career.

Although both Jordan and Khabib are from different sports industries, their characteristics and lifestyles seem almost the same. Apparently, Cormier and Helwani did a perfect job giving the Eagle a new name.

Khabib Nurmagomedov is a man of his word

Everyone was confused about Nurmagomedov’s retirement announcement, which came out in October after the UFC 254 in Dubai. For the past five-month, fans were pretty confident that he will come back.

But Khabib gave his words to his mom that he will not fight anymore and which finally came true last week. With this reference, DC conveyed, “Especially a guy in his [Khabib] position makes up his mind nothing’s going to change that.”

Khabib had a tough time last year during the pandemic. The Russian bravely fought just months after the death of his father, coach, and mentor Abdulmanap. The death of his father forced him to take the retirement decision.
