Undefeated UFC welterweight champ Kamaru Usman extended his winning streak to 18 by knocking out Jorge Masvidal at UFC 261 last night.

In a rematch against his prime rival, Usman defeated Masvidal with a violent overhand right and retained his welterweight title. The welterweight title fight was the main event of UFC 261 at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida. However, this is the first UFC event with a capacity crowd since the COVID-19 pandemic.

Usman has been leading the peak time of his career, and he wished to continue his legacy. “I just need to take some time and need to train to get better. But these guys gotta show me something because right now I am the champion, I am the most active guy in the division,” Usman conveyed to the interviewers.

Further, the champion indicated that he wants to destroy some top level fighter. “The guys can’t just wait around and wait for me to call their number. They just need to show me something. I fought any and everyone they put in front of me,” Kamaru stated.

In his last four fights, Usman knocked the opponent in three fights. Further, he has been showcasing his remarkable versatility over the last few bouts. Usman is ranked at No.2 in the UFC pound-for-pound table, and he will certainly look forward to raise to the top position.
