Jorge Masvidal is all set to wage a war at UFC 261 against Kamaru Usman. He is keen to exact revenge from the current welterweight champion.
Previously, Masvidal and Usman fought at UFC 251. At the time, Masvidal had stepped in to replace Gilbert Burns at a week’s notice with a half camp. Unfortunately for Masvidal, things did not pan out his way as he suffered a decision loss.
However, Usman called out Jorge to fight him again after beating Gilbert Burns. Now, Jorge is confident that he will defeat Usman. As such, he is also open to returning the favor and offering Kamaru a rematch after knocking him out.

“Whether we see eye-to-eye on things or not, he gave me another chance to compete, so I’ll definitely give him the chance to compete again.” Masvidal respects the fact that Usman gave him a ‘second chance’ and feels inclined to do the same.
This time around, Jorge has managed to cut down weight well before the fight. He is well-rested and recovered and has also completed a full training camp. Naturally, fans expect a better performance from ‘Gamebred’ this time around.
Moreover, Masvidal has promised fans that the fight will be ‘violent ‘. He is intent on ‘breaking Usman’s face’ rather than just edging the fight via decision. He wants to claim a clear victory and prove how much better he is than Usman.
Can Jorge Masvidal Win this Time?
Jorge Masvidal has been seemingly working hard for the upcoming fight. He has been through rehab in Colombia and working on improving his deficits from the last fight against Usman.

Moreover, Masvidal feels that there is no way Usman could ever earn his “BMF” title, which he won by stopping Nate Diaz in November 2019. BMF stands for ” Baddest Motherf****r” and was specifically made for Nate and Jorge. “You gotta be a BMF to compete for that one, and this dude ain’t it,” Masvidal said.
However, Masvidal will want to get his hands on the welterweight title as well. He has been in the division for quite some time now and fans feel that this is a ‘last chance ‘ to win it. As such, Masvidal will be going all guns blazing come April 24th.
