Jon Jones took to Twitter to send a warning to Francis Ngannou. Jones is pining for a shot at the heavyweight champion ever since his move to the division from light heavyweight.
Previously, Jones vacated his own light heavyweight title for a move to heavyweight. Apparently, he was to fight the winner of Miocic Vs Ngannou 2. However, it seemed for a while that things had fallen through with the UFC.
“Pray you knock me out because if you don’t I’m going to break you, and that’s a promise.” Jon sends out a clear message for Ngannou here, almost threatening him. This comes as a surprise as the two fighters were supposedly on good terms.

Moreover, Derrick Lewis is reportedly Ngannou’s next opponent. Hence, it seems to be a bit confusing as to why Jones is showing a sudden hostility towards Ngannou. In the past, Ngannou has revealed that he is open to fighting both Lewis and Jones.
Furthermore, Francis also voiced his support for Jones when the latter asked the UFC for big pay. He shared similar sentiments regarding the situation and felt that a ‘mega pay ‘ fight should happen. With the latest twist in the plot, fans are predicting a potential surprise announcement.

Will Jon Jones Get his Fight With Ngannou?
Jon Jones has publicly reiterated the wish to fight Ngannou. Although he hasn’t ruled out a fight against Derrick Lewis either, Ngannou remains his main focus. ‘Bones’ is in no hurry to fight and is currently working on getting in fighting shape.

Jones is currently No.1 in the Men’s Pound for Pound rankings. Hence, a fight against the World Heavyweight Champion would certainly make for one of the biggest showdowns. However, the UFC is of the opinion that Jones is not yet deserving of a title shot.
The matchup is a ‘no brainer ‘ according to the MMA Community. If it happens, the fight will surely be in the top 5 UFC PPV of all time. Even though there are no confirmations right now, it appears as though Lewis is closer to a fight with Ngannou.
