Jan Blachowicz was on the receiving end of Jon Jones‘ recent tweets. Safe to say, Jones has grown tired of Jan’s repeated call-outs.
Following Jones’ move to Heavyweight, his title was vacated. Blachowicz took on Dominick Reyes in a bout for the light heavyweight title. As things turned out, Jan knocked out Reyes in the second round and claimed the title.
Jan has been pining for a fight against Jones ever since. He has claimed that he is even ready to take on Jones at the 205-pound mark. Blachowicz has also talked about potentially replacing Jones for his fight against Francis Ngannou.
Hey Jan, how about you build your own legacy without talking shit about me. Go out, win 10 world titles and then parade yourself as some unbelievable fighter. Someone I ran away from. 👍🏾 just another option for you

This has upset Jones, who feels that Blachowicz is disrespecting his legacy. Jones has recently been busy negotiating the terms for a potential ‘mega money’ fight with Francis Ngannou. He even pleaded to the UFC to release him at one point.
On the other hand, Jan has recently beaten the middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya. After his fight, he proceeded to call out Jones for the second time. He claims Jones had promised to fight him but has not kept his promise.
Will Jan Blachowicz get his fight?
Jan has revealed since then that he expects to fight Glover Teixeira next. However, he remains hopeful that Jones will eventually accept his offer and the two will finally fight.
In a recent interview, Blachowicz also revealed that he would like to finish his career in the Heavyweight division. He is more than happy to put on the weight in order to chase Jones down. Moreover, he is keen on fighting the other ‘big’ guys of the division and not just be fixated on Jon Jones.
Blachowicz has also opened up on the possibility of facing Francis Ngannou. “If UFC sends me, ‘You want to fight against Francis?’ why not?” he said. He thinks that his ‘ Legendary Polish Power’ against the might of ‘The Predator’ would surely make for a good fight.
Since talks of Ngannou Vs Jones have not revealed anything concrete, there are many things still possible. Francis has revealed that he would happily fight Jones or even Derrick Lewis. What happens from here? Only time will tell.
