Jon Jones Feels Excited to Take His ‘Capabilities to the Next Level’ After Coaches Meeting

Jon Jones at the UFC 247 bout against Reyes

Jon Jones has always been active on Twitter, posting random things like the time in Albuquerque, to April fool’s day. With 26 wins in his bag, the fans of UFC are eyeing the match between Jones and Francis Ngannou.

The match was put on hold as Jones wanted Dana White to go over his demand as $8 to $10 million was too low of a match fee. But the good news is that Jones confirmed on Twitter that the deal has been finalized following a dinner with Dana, and they now have to settle on a date.

Pumped up about the fight, Jones tweeted a photo of himself with few coaches, where it seemed they’re ready to take on anyone. He captioned it: “Had an absolutely brilliant coaches meeting today, I’m excited to take my capabilities to the next level.”

Jon Jones, the interim UFC Light Heavyweight champion, was crowned back in 2016, and as of now, he is the number 1 in UFC pound-for-pound rankings. Jones became the youngest champion in the history of UFC after defeating Mauricio Rua at a title match.

When asked about the potential super fight with Jon Jones, Ngannou, the new UFC champion, expressed that he is super comfortable with fighting anyone. Knowing he doesn’t have a say in who he will fight next, Ngannou said that he hopes to fight Jon Jones but won’t sit around waiting.

With his next potential match either with Jon Jones or Derrick Lewis, the road is still not clear for the newly crowned “Baddest man on the planet.”

Jon Jones’ future with UFC

Jon Jones and UFC President, Dana White, are not on the best terms because of the recent negotiations. Jones wanted to vacate his belt after a fallout with Dana and tweeted his thoughts. He suggested that the title fight take place between contenders Dominick Reyes and Jan Blachowicz.

When questioned about Jone’s future in the sport, Dana said it all lies in his hand. Jones is one of the best fighters in UFC and has made enough money to walk away from fighting forever. However, his future might not be that dull after all, as everyone looks forward to his next match with Ngannou.
