Jiri Prochazka claimed his second UFC victory at UFC Vegas 25. The Czech fighter established himself as a potential title challenger after dispatching Dominick Reyes in the Main Event.
Moreover, Prochazka is rapidly becoming one of the most exciting fighters in the light heavyweight division. ‘Denisa’ was victorious after a second-round KO/TKO finish on Reyes. Jiri rounded off an exemplary display with a spinning back elbow to finish off ‘The Devastator’.
Speaking about a potential title fight, he says, “Yeah, I’m ready. Let’s do that”. Jiri reveals that it will be a “big honor” for him to fight the winner of Teixeira vs. Blachowicz. However, Prochazka suspects that his opponent will be Jan Blachowicz.

Previously, Blachowicz took on Reyes in a bout for the light heavyweight title that was vacated by Jon Jones. Eventually, Blachowicz was successful in beating Reyes and also beat Israel Adesanya after that. As a result, everyone expects Jan to be victorious against Teixiera as well.

Interestingly, Blachowicz responded to Prochazka’s victory, suggesting that he also is keen to take on the Czech fighter in the future. However, he promises that he will fight Glover Teixeira first. “Of course, Glovera is the next contender. I always keep my word”.

Jiri Prochazka and His Road to Title Shot
Following his victory over Reyes, Jiri Prochazka is almost nailed on for a guaranteed title shot next. Even though he has only fought twice in the UFC, he has shown great skill and technique in his fights. Naturally, Jiri has also shot up the light heavyweight rankings.
After easily dispatching Volkan Oezdemir in his UFC debut, Jiri asked for a higher-ranking opponent. On the other hand, Reyes was coming off a title fight loss to Blachowicz. Hence, it seemed as though this was the fight to make.

Surprisingly, Prochazka came out as the more dominant in the fight. The two engaged in a “slugfest” to deliver one of the best fights of the night. Eventually, Jiri got the upper hand and unleashed a spinning elbow to win the fight.
Now, Jiri is all set to fight the titleholder after Teixeira and Jan Blachowicz go head to head at UFC 266. Although he has made a quick impact on the division, there is no denying that the Czech has the skills to back it up.
