Tony Ferguson poses during a ceremonial weigh-in for UFC 229 at T-Mobile Arena on October 05, 2018 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Tony Ferguson has spoken about a possible match-up with Nate Diaz. They are both also fighting on the UFC 262 card on May 15.

In an interview, Tony covered a variety of topics including his losses, Khabib, coaches, and Beneil Dariush. Interestingly, he also spoke about a potential fight against Nate Diaz.

Nate Diaz is headlining UFC 262 along with Leon Edwards. As it stands, Nate Diaz will also look to fight regularly after his fight with Leon Edwards. The fight with Edwards is his ‘comeback’ fight.

Tony for one thinks that it has all the makings of a ‘super fight. “We’re OG’s in this game, that’s original geniuses” he adds. Ferguson also draws attention to the fact that the two have a plethora of similarities between them.

Although there is talk of Tony losing his edge, he is still No.5 in the division. As such, a good run now could very well see him contend for the title. For that, he will have to beat both Beneil Dariush and Nate Diaz, if they fight.

Even though he may claim to fight for 10 more years, we all know that it won’t be possible. Many predicted that Tony would hang up his gloves if he loses to Dariush. However, with Nate Diaz now in the mix, fans of ‘El Cucuy’ are not so worried.
