In a recent Twitter tirade, Jones ranted for an improved contract and even included a request for his release from the promotion. Ngannou has since expressed his empathy for Jones and feels that “for a mega-fight, everyone would like to have mega pay.

In his interview with MMAFighting, Ngannou revealed that he is also open to fighting other contenders as well. “There’s a lot of good fights out there. The roster right now is full of good contenders that you can eventually want to fight.” Here, he also expresses his want to stay active and fight consistently.

He doesn’t want to be inactive and deny somebody a shot at the title. In the past two years, he has only fought twice and doesn’t want the same to happen again.
