Conor McGregor working on “170lbs” shape for Dustin Poirier trilogy

Conor McGregor is working on the Dustin Poirier trilogy

Conor McGregor will reportedly come by a chance to clutch his revenge over Dustin Poirier on July 10. UFC 264 will take place on July 10, 2021, and it eyes the Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier trilogy fight. Without a doubt, the trilogy fight between the two will be absolutely staggering.

Following McGregor’s first knockout loss in his MMA career, the Irish blamed inactivity for his defeat before appreciating ‘The Diamond’ for a well-strategized game plan. The fighter then insisted on a third fight. As per the reports, July 10 is the official date to complete the trilogy. The UFC might announce the date officially in the coming weeks.

The Notorious and The Diamond first locked horns for UFC 178, where McGregor knocked out Poirier in the first round. At UFC 257, the rematch took place where McGregor was knocked out by Poirier on Fight Island. The official end time came at 2:32 in the second round.

Both the fighters possess a remarkable scorecard, Conor McGregor (22-5-0) and Dustin Poirier (27-6-0). Also, both the fighters have the same score, 1-1 for both, the McGregor vs Poirier 3 will be the decision-making bout and Conor McGregor does not want to lose this time.

While some have said that the McGregor phase is over and all the fighter needs to do now is rest, McGregor wants to prove them all wrong.

McGregor believes he has still got it and hopes to not blame inactivity this time. For this, the fighter is working hard for his body, for the 170lbs of concrete slab! The fighter took it to Facebook where he posted an image posing at a weigh-in with the caption, “170lbs of concrete slab! What you know bout that?”

The Irish fighter’s fans are being extremely supportive for the fighter to win this time. Though McGregor receives hate comments too, the fighter’s prime concern, for the time being, remains Dustin Poirier.
