Conor McGregor remains unimpressed with Kamaru Usman. Recently, the Irish fighter took to Instagram to express his displeasure at Usman ‘copying ‘ him.
Kamaru Usman has been copying Conor in the past. Whether it is by coincidence or not, it is yet known. Moreover, Conor has been vocal about Usman’s copying in the past as well. Previously, Conor took to Twitter to showcase a similar incident.

In his latest Instagram post, McGregor shows a clip of him fighting Dustin Poirier. In the clip, he is throwing a fake jab with his left and following it up with a strong jab with his right hand. Incidentally, this is the exact same thing Kamaru did to KO Masvidal at UFC 261.
As a result, McGregor is fuming and is even threatening to fight Usman later down the line. Furthermore, Conor has seen success in the welterweight division when he took on Nate Diaz at UFC 202. Hence, the idea of a possible matchup is well conceivable.
Whilst the previous ‘copying’ instances have only been phrases by the Irishman, this time it is more personal. As such, McGregor is furious and has finally had enough. Even though his fans think that it’s not a feasible idea to fight ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’, Conor is thinking otherwise.
Will Conor McGregor fight Kamaru Usman?
Conor McGregor’s fans will know that the Irishman is known for calling out other people. More often than not, nothing serious materializes, and eventually, the matter fizzles out. This time, however, Conor seems too serious to let it go.
“Can’t be copying my words and my shots and not get a smack for it. I like 170. It’s mine soon.” Currently, Conor is busy preparing for his trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. If anything is to happen, it will likely pan out towards the end of the year.

Similarly, Kamaru Usman has just made his fourth title defense. All signs indicate that a rematch with Colby Covington is on the cards. After that though, there is no real challenge left for Usman as he’s already swept the entire division clean.
Hence, Dana White might get a few ideas about a possible Conor-Usman fight. While it is certainly possible, it will require both fighters to win their upcoming bouts first. The fight, if it happens, will surely be one of the biggest fights of the year.
