After more than a year of not fighting, Conor McGregor will return to compete at UFC. He will challenge Donald Cerrone.
This was revealed by the President of the UFC, Dana White. He said that the man from Northern Ireland had agreed to fight in the welterweight class.
“Conor has agreed to fight Cowboy. He is ready to play it,” White was quoted as saying by ESPN.
The last time McGregor fought was against Khabib in the UFC 229 match in October 2018. In that match, he lost to submissions or with a lock.
The match itself ended in chaos after Khabib attacked a McGregor team member deemed provoking. The two fighters were later sentenced and fined.
Since then, McGregor hasn’t fought until now. During his break, The Notorious actually did some dishonorable actions that made dealing with the police.
He was caught punching an old man in a bar in Dublin. In another case, McGregor snatched a man’s cellphone at a nightclub and slammed it to the ground.
