UFC decides to unlink Amir Aliakbari

Amir Aliakbari

Amir Aliakbari signed with the UFC in May this year, but will not have the chance to debut in the octagon.

Aaron Bronsteter of TSN reported that the organization decided to unlink Aliakbari.

Bronsteter revealed that the fighter was already sanctioned, but not for a USADA issue. But for a contractual dispute between the fighter and ACA, which is not known if it has already been resolved.

Aliakbari has a 10-1 record, with victories against Heath Herring, Valentín Moldavsky, Daniel Omielanczuk among others. The only loss of his career was against Mirko Cro Cop in the late open weight GP in December of 2016.
