UFC: Colby Covington won’t be able to fight for six months

The former 170-pound interim champion lost against Kamaru Usman, in the stellar UFC 245, on Saturday.

Colby Covington will debut again at UFC in 2020, and we are not going to see him anymore in the octagon this year.

During the last fight against Usman in the third or fourth round, Covington suffered a fractured jaw. According to medical suspensions, it could take him out of action for up to 180 days. He needs the discharge of a maxillofacial surgeon before training again.

On the other hand, Usman also received a 180-day suspension.

The new 145-pound champion Alexander Volkanovski joins the list of long medical suspensions, and he needs an x-ray of his right hand and requires the discharge of an orthopedic.
