Adama Traore admitted there was a chance to leave Wolverhampton Wanderers in the winter market and return to Spain. But, not to join Barcelona again, but to defend Real Madrid.
The 23-year-old winger has attracted several big European clubs because Wolverhampton is often dropped as a starter, especially in the Premier League. So far, the Spanish passport player has packed a total of seven assists and five goals in 29 matches.
Traore has broken through Manchester City (Man City) three times from two meetings this season, all of which have resulted in victory. One other goal was created when entertaining Tottenham Hotspur, which unfortunately ended in a 1-2 defeat.
The 178 cm player does have weaknesses because he often makes the wrong decision when he is around the opponent’s penalty box. But, it was offset by good speed and dribble skills.
That’s why Traore attracted a number of European clubs, including those from Spain. Madrid is touted as one of the devotees. “If I have the chance to join Real Madrid, I will leave,” he said, reported Skysports.
This statement indirectly broke the rumor that said that the 178 cm player would be present again at Camp Nou. Traore spent two years defending Barcelona (2013-2015) but only played once.
After that, he moved to Aston Villa (2015-2016) and Middlesbrough (2016-2018) before joining Wolverhampton.
When I left Barca there was confusion and I will not reveal the story what it was, “he said.
