PSG must rush against time to complete the transfer because PSG purchase options only until tomorrow or Sunday (05/31/2020), post-move to Paris on September 2, 2019. If formalized, this will be the Nerazzurri’s first business for next season.

Icardi moved to the Parc des Princes on loan for one season at the end of the transfer window last summer.

The 26-year-old was expelled from the Inter Milan squad at the arrival of Coach Antonio Conte. However, making an impressive appearance at PSG under Coach Thomas Tuchel.

Icardi scored 20 goals in 31 matches in all competitions this season before Ligue 1 was stopped in April, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The debut season may not be finished, because PSG is still competing in the Champions League, Coupe de France, and Coupe de la Ligue in 2019/2020. While the Ligue 1 trophy, Icardi, and PSG have won it after it was discontinued and PSG was awarded the title.
