The fight for the Lightweight World Championship (Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Tony Ferguson) has been announced for April 18 as well as the fight that could determine the next challenger to the title (Conor McGregor vs. Donald Cerrone) for January 18. With permission, the latter from Justin Gaethje.
The situation in the division is very interesting and will get more attention in the first months of 2020. What will happen in the two fights? We will see it. Before, we know what Ferguson wants to happen in the confrontation between “The Notorious” and “Cowboy.” Let’s see what the current contender commented to the championship talking to Ariel Helwani.
Cerrone vs. McGregor, according to Ferguson
“I have to say that if Cerrone kicks him, McGregor will fall like a ton of bricks. But, as I always say, I bet on the double KO. I think both are going to enter the cage with the weapons ready. It’s going to be a good fight, I can’t wait to see it.”
