Thai MotoGP this weekend could be a crucial moment for Marc Marquez. The Repsol Honda rider is likely to seal the 2019 MotoGP world title if he succeeds in running one of the following scenarios.

As the top of the standings, while racers – armed with 300 points from 15 races, Marc Marquez is the most favorite racer to embrace the 2019 MotoGP world title. Moreover, the racer nicknamed The Baby Alien collected 98 points more than his closest rival, Andrea Dovizioso.

Mathematically, with five races remaining this season, Marquez could have locked the 2019 MotoGP world title if he won the Thai MotoGP at the Buriram Circuit or also known as Chang International Circuit, Sunday (6/10/2019). However, there are several scenarios that must be run.

Post Racers – Race Team Points
1 Marc Marquez – Repsol Honda 300
2 Andrea Dovizioso – Mission Winnow Ducati 202
3 Alex Rins – Suzuki Ecstar 156
4 Danilo Petrucci – Mission Winnow Ducati 155
5 Maverick Vinales – Yamaha Monster 147
6 Valentino Rossi – Yamaha Monster 137

In the first scenario, Marc Marquez became the first racer to touch the finish line. An additional 25 points will make him the only ‘untouchable’ racer for the rest of the season. Even if Dovizioso wins all the remaining races, Marquez’s points won’t be overtaken.

The second scenario, if Marquez finishes in rank 5 or 13. The Alien Baby will lock the title with the record Dovizioso end the race two positions behind him or more.

In the third scenario, if Dovizioso fails to get points at Buriram, Marc Marquez can seal the title even though Baby Alien finished 14th. That is, Marquez’s chances of winning this season are wide open at Buriram.

Unfortunately, Marquez did not begin preparations for this 2019 Thailand MotoGP smoothly. At the first free practice session, Friday (4/10) then, the driver had an accident. Luckily Marquez was not injured so it is certain to take part in today’s qualifying session.
