Three members of the Formula 1 (F1) racing team were quarantined ahead of the opening series of the 2020 Australian Grand Prix. All three showed symptoms of contracting corona, namely the flu and fever.

The three quarantined people came from two different teams. Two people from the Haas racing team, while one other person is a member of the Renault racing team.

A Haas spokesman told Reuters that two team members were quarantined in their hotel rooms. Not yet clear how long they will be quarantined.

‘Two members of our team were quarantined and remained in their hotel room. They showed symptoms of flu,’ said a Haas spokesman.

Meanwhile, the McLaren racing team said a member of their team also isolated themselves in a hotel room. However, McLaren hopes that tomorrow the health condition of the person can be ascertained.

‘We hope to receive the results overnight. The team operates according to our normal schedule,’ McLaren said.
