Los Angeles Lakers won their last game against Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday. However, most of the talk after that victory was about the next match that will take place against the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday.
The Nets have built a super team in this NBA season, including two former MVPs Kevin Durant and James Harden. Besides, All-Star Kyrie Irving also added value to the Brooklyn Nets. Subsequently, the trio contributes over 80 points per game. Facing a team laden with talent is not new for the Lakers’ superstar LeBron James. Moreover, it is common for him, which he reminded the press when asked about the Nets’ trio.
“Um, have we forgot about KD, Steph (Curry) and Klay (Thompson) already?” LeBron told reporters. “I mean, there you go. There you go right there.”

LeBron will have to play without co-player Anthony Davis Vs. Nets
The NBA world is considering this matchup as a possible NBA Finals preview. However, both sides’ concurrent injuries can dampen the excitement to an extent.
The forward Anthony Davis will miss this match as he is dealing with an Achilles issue and a calf strain. Further, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving both missed Brooklyn’s last game against Phoenix on Tuesday. However, James Harden did a tremendous job in the last match with 38 points, which led the Nets to a massive comeback against the streaking Suns.
Subsequently, the upcoming match will be tough for both the Lakers and Nets. Nevertheless, LeBron is not afraid of facing the Nets. “It’s always exciting for me to go against some of the best guys in the game — and they got three of them,” James said. “They got three of the best guys in the game. Definitely would love to be full when you’re playing against a team like that and see, like, at that point in the season, how you match up — how you match up against some of the best teams in the league. And, obviously, we won’t be full on Thursday. But, other than that, yeah, I love going out there and just being out on the floor with some of the best to play this game.“
Nets and Lakers met on March 11 in the last 2020 season, which bagged a victory for the Nets. Conversely, the next game will be a showdown of an offensive juggernaut from the Nets, while LeBron James is eagerly waiting for the match.
