The Worst Start of Manchester United in 30 Years

Manchester United started their worst start by winning nine points from seven matches in the 2019/2020 English League. That is the lowest point acquisition ever made by the Red Devils since 30 years ago or the 1989/1990 season.

The minor note came after United were held to a 1-1 draw at Arsenal at Old Trafford Stadium on Tuesday (10/01/2019) WIB. After the match, coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes the players should get support because they can look impressive than some previous matches.

Solskjaer also accused the media that they were trying to worsen the situation currently facing United. “There are many things that give me a lot of confidence. We can talk about performance but the results are important. You can talk about results, I can talk about six out of seven appearances that players perform well. West Ham, we know, are below par ( lost 0-2) but it’s not as bad as you imagine, “Solskjaer said, quoted by the Guardian.

The draw left United in 10th place, while Arsenal moved up to fourth. Although the Red Devils only earned one point, but fans and former players like Roy Keane still support Solskjaer and his players.

Keane argues in his role as a football expert that Solskjaer must be 100% given more time. Surely he will be disappointed because he doesn’t get many wins, but the club has given great confidence to the 46-year-old coach. So fans must respond by giving support.

“They have given him a job, so support him (Solskjaer) in some transfer window. Are there more difficult days in the future? You are risking your life but you have to obey it. There is a lack of quality from both teams tonight. Lack of attacks, “the lack of opportunities they create. Give the children time. But on tonight’s performance, none of them (both Manchester United and Arsenal) will be in the top four,” stressed Keane.
