The SuperStar is Back: EDGE Wins Men’s Royal Rumble Match 2021

Wrestler Edge at WWE smackdown

The 2021 WWE Royal Rumble has no lack of features, achievements, or even career top results. Bianca Belair clinches on her first Royal Rumble win, while Edge won his second, eliminating Randy Orton at last.

Between the two Royal Rumble events, records were set and expanded, including Edge, Belair, Kane and a good number of others. Most promising was the assumption that some yearly Royal Rumble accomplishments included today’s new stars as WWE continues to hunt for the next redemptive full-time star.

Why is EDGE the Perfect Winner?

It was the 2020 season of Men’s Royal Rumble Fight, where Edge marked his almost magical come back to WWE. It is after almost 9 years he is back in the arena.

In 2011, he quit as the World Champion due to his accident while being on top of the WWE World Championship ladder.

Edge could not win the 30 men Royal Rumble match last year. However, he survived till the last three remainings. Subsequently, Edge’s Royal Rumble win this year could drive him to win one final World Championship title at the biggest event of the year, WrestleMania 37.

Retiring as a champion, Edge did not lose his belt in the first place. Hence, rather than calling out the champion and asking for the title shot, Edge won his fight. Furthermore, he will compete for the WrestleMania 37 World Championship later this year.

On the Contrary

Edge is amongst the greatest superstars that WWE has on its latest list. Almost ten years since his retirement, Edge is really ‘done’ between the WWE World. It was obvious when the entire crowd went wild at the Royal Rumble last year on his return.

Nevertheless, Edge’s first year back wasn’t what he planned it to be like. Due to the global pandemic situation, the events took place behind closed doors with no audience. However, spectators will be entertained to watch the greatest WWE event of the year WrestleMania 37 this season.
