Speaking with Ariel Helwani, Dwayne Johnson commented:
“I was not surprised by Nate’s comments because that is the Nate we all know and love. He understands. Understand that Jorge and I are boys from Miami. I tried to be as neutral as possible. I didn’t want to go to the fight saying: ‘Jorge is my boy and he will win.”
“I tried to be neutral, thinking that that would be the best way to attract as many more looks as possible to the event, besides leaving my own mark. From what they told me at the UFC, it was the biggest fight they ever had. I am very proud of the two boys.”
