
The New York Knicks has successfully signed Austin Rivers to their franchise as per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. The Knicks had the #No8 overall pick in the NBA Draft 2020. The New York Knicks made a huge move by leaving a guard like Tyrese Halliburton and drafting the Skywalker power forward Obi Toppin. The Knicks was desperately looking for a guard and they made a deal with the Houston Rockets to get Austin Rivers.

As per the contract, the New York Knicks made a deal with Austin Rivers for $10m in three years
Where the last two years is nonguaranteed. The Knicks will also receive draft rights to Spanish shooting guard Sergio Llull & power forwards Tadija Dragicevic & Alex Hervelle. In return, New York sent Houston the draft rights to Issuf Sanon.

Earlier this week from Espn’s insider Woj, it was noted that the Knicks was eagerly looking for a veteran guard and they were interested to negotiate with Austin Rivers, who averaged 8.8 points per game and 23 minutes in the field last season with the rockets. Woj was also the provider of the insider of Austin’s dad Doc Rivers to be sacked from the Clippers and to Join the Sixers as the Head-coach for the 2020-2021 NBA season.
