Victor Troicki, the former tennis player, spoke about how the western media prioritizes Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer over his countryman Novak Djokovic.
The 33-year-old Nole is the current No. 1 in the sport. Further, along with Federer and Nadal, Djokovic is known as the ‘Big Three’. However, the Serb is the least favorite compared to the other two from the trio.

World No.1 won the Australian Open 21 but still got little attention from the media for the massive achievements. However, the media grilled Nole last year for hosting a party during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The former World No.12 Victor reported the media focuses more on the accomplishments of the Swiss and the Spanish veteran. In an interview, Troicki talked about Djokovic’s image in media, “We all see that aversion. It is very easy to see.”

“The fact is, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer were at the top before Nole appeared, and then suddenly a guy from Serbia came and won all the tournaments.” He added.
Tricki further exerted his views, “That doesn’t please others. We all know what the situation has been like in our country in recent decades, the world doesn’t have a good image of us, so not everyone, but some [people] condemn it and have the wrong image of it.”
What is next for Novak Djokovic?
The Serb claimed his ninth Australian Open title in 2021 and aims to win the Roland Garros next in May. However, the French Open might be a little tough for Djokovic to win, as the ‘King of Clay Court’, Rafael Nadal will also be there. Further, Noel currently has 18 Grand Slam titles next to Rafa and Roger, who are sharing the top spot with 20 titles.
