Grigor Dimitrov spoke about being fortunate to be at Monaco during a tournament, as the Bulgarian got to cure his toothache after his match against Rafael Nadal.
The 29-year-old Bulgarian had a painful third round at the Monte Carlo Masters and not only because of his defeat to World No.3 but also because of his poor tooth. However, Dimitrov feels happy to be playing at his home ground with such pain.
The Bulgarian further reported on his post-match to a dentist, “Straight to the doctor’s, unfortunately. Very, very unpleasant moment. It is what it is. At least I’m glad it happened on home soil, at home, so I can go see my dentist and figure this problem as soon as possible.”

The World No.17 was having a wonderful run in the Monaco 1000 circuit, however, his run ended after facing the Nadal in the third round. It is a known fact that facing the King of Clay court is not a simple task and also with a toothache; it gets more difficult.
The Bulgarian finished the first set with a crushing defeat of 1-6. Again, during the second set, Dimitrov could not create pressure on the Spaniard and because of the pain, he again lost for 1-6. Within just 55 minutes, the third round was over for Grigor Dimitrov, and got knocked out of the Monte Carlo Masters.

“Sorry for him. I wish him all the best.”
Rafael Nadal moved to the quarterfinals of the Monaco ATP 1000 tours and will take on either Andrey Rublev on April 16.
