Stephen Curry Celebrates His Birthday “Straight Cheesin” With Family

Stephen Curry

Stephen Curry celebrated his birthday in style with a win against the Utah Jazz on Sunday night. The 131-119 victory was a really important one for the Dubs as they finally put a stop to their downward spiral. Beating the team at the top of the standings will count for more.

Curry, who turned 33 on Sunday, posted a photo on Instagram with the caption, “Straight cheesin with young wolf. Only thing better than winning is a win on the bday with my fam!! Thank you for the love and well wishes #dubnation, much appreciated.”

Chef Curry got cooking in the first quarter as he dropped 14 points in the first quarter. The Warriors were quick to get off the blocks which helped them in keeping control of the game. The “baby-faced-assassin” continued his MVP contending run with 32 points and 9 assists during the game.

Stephen Curry celebrates his birthday with a resounding win

After the abysmal performance against the LA Clippers, it looked like the season was slipping out of the hands of the Warriors. However, as it turns out, that game might have been the wake-up call needed for the team. Defeating arguably the best team in the league will act as a huge confidence boost for the side.

Apart from Curry, Draymond Green and rookie James Wiseman also put in massive performances for this win. In fact, Green scored a triple-double with 11 points, 12 rebounds, and 12 assists in this game.

Coach Steve Kerr was very pleased after the game. He said, “Very gratifying win, I just liked our intensity defensively from the start to the finish. That’s a great team, they’re tough to guard, and I thought we stayed with it.”

Before this game, TV analysts and former players were having discussions about whether the Warriors should throw in the towel. After this performance, Draymond Green himself admitted that this could be a huge “turning point” for the team.

The Golden State Warriors are ninth in the Western Conference standings. At the moment, they are not in contention for the playoffs. However, with the likes of Stephen Curry and Draymond Green, the team will be hopeful of improving their performances at the business end of the season.
